Roof Rack Side Rails

Standard roof rack side rails offer added cargo-carrying capacity when combined with available crossbars. Roof rack rails are Black on Sport and North Edition, and Bright on Limited, coordinating with other model-level styling elements. Adjustable crossbars shown are standard on Limited.

Rear Wiper and Defroster

The rear window wiper features an intermittent mode and washer nozzle, helping maintain a clean window for optimal rear visibility. The electric rear window defroster helps keep the window clear of snow and ice.

Power Sunroof

Features vent, tilt and slide functions, providing ventilation and light. Also features convenient one-touch opening and closing. Available on North Edition and Limited models.

Liftgate

Jeep® Patriot features a steel lift-gate with flush-mounted glass and dual gas-assisted props with temperature compensation, aiding opening and providing open-position support in hot and cold weather. Included are a wiper/washer and an electric defroster.

Jeep® Patriot features classic Jeep brand design, including a seven-slot grille, round headlamps and trapezoidal wheel openings, incorporating modern design interpretations, while providing a nostalgic link to past Jeep brand vehicles.

Halogen Headlamps

Traditional Jeep® round headlamps are halogen type for excellent illumination. The fascia-mounted fog lamps are standard on Limited, included on the Sport and North Edition in the Trail Rated®, Off-Road Group. The halogen headlamps have an average service life of 3000 hours.

Deep-Tinted Glass

Available Fog Lamps

High-efficiency halogen bulbs with round 100-millimetre lamps includes stone chip-resistant polycarbonate plastic lenses, providing excellent road coverage. Standard on Limited, included on Sport and North Edition in the Trail Rated® Off-Road Group.

P205/70R16 (or available P215/60R17) All-season tires maintain a comfortable highway ride, while providing an ideal compromise for off-road and on-road ride and handling.The 17-inch aluminum wheels shown are standard on Limited, available on Sport and North Edition.

Universal Customer Interface

Universal Customer Interface(UCI) is the system used to connect an iPod® interface to the vehicle to enable the user to control their iPod through the radio controls and the remote steering wheel switches (if equipped).

Interior Lighting

Two lamps mounted in the headliner illuminate the interior. Sport models feature a dome lamp in the front and cargo lamp in the rear. North Edition and Limited models feature dual map lamps/dome lamp at the front and a removable/rechargeable flashlight, providing added convenience and utility.

Heated Front Seats

CVT2L With Low Range

With the Freedom Drive II(TM) Trail Rated® off-road system, when the 4WD system is locked, the vehicle will launch with the 19:1 low range and maintain that ratio until the vehicle reaches a speed of about 15 km/h or more, providing the torque multiplication required for successfully conquering off-road challenges.

Continuously Variable Transmission

Soft Tonneau Cover

The soft tonneau cover is contoured to fit the interior trim, keeping items out of sight and providing added security. Included in the Safety and Cargo Convenience group, optional on North Edition and Limited.

Side-Curtain Air Bags

Include a set of inflated chambers adjacent to the head of each outboard occupant, front and rear, helping to protect outboard passengers in the event of a collision. Curtains deploy downward to cover both windows on the impact side.

Sentry Key®

A transmitter chip is embedded in the key, and by using rolling-code technology, the engine will only start and continue to run if a valid programmed key is inserted.

Seat Belts

Three-point lap and shoulder belts at all seating positions help provide protection for all occupants. Pre-tension and load-limiting detractors for the front seat belts remove slack in a seat belt during a severe crash. Centre rear three-point seat belt features a mini latch and buckle, allowing the shoulder belt to detach from the lower anchor when the rear seat is folded.

Remote Keyless Entry

Remote Keyless Entry allows the driver to lock or unlock the doors and liftgate remotely, and includes a panic alarm for peace of mind. Standard on North Edition and Limited. Available illuminated entry provides automatic illumination of the vehicle interior lighting when unlocking the doors from a distance.

Front-Seat Mounted Side Air Bags

Front seat-mounted side air bags provide additional head and thorax protection in the event of a side impact.

Energy-Absorbing Steering Column

Provides up to four inches of column stroke at an engineered force level, helping reduce the potential for injury in the event of a collision. For driver comfort and convenience, a tilt steering column is standard on all Patriot models.

Electronic Stability Program (ESP)TM

Jeep® Patriot features Electronic Stability Program (ESPTM) with Brake Assist, traction control and Electronic Roll Mitigation (ERM). Applies selective braking to control oversteer or understeer during high dynamic situations, helping prevent wheel lift and helping maintain vehicle control.ESP has three modes: full-on, partial and off. Full-on is the default mode and ESP applies selective braking to control oversteer or understeer, adding to on-road security. ESP in Partial mode shuts off the Traction Control portion of ESP.

Electronic Roll Mitigation

Electronic Roll Mitigation monitors the driver's steering wheel input and the speed of the vehicle to sense the potential for wheel lift. Provides an enhancement to the Electronic Stability Program(ESPTM) to help to reduce the likelihood of a vehicle side rollover.

Child Seat Anchor

Three top tether anchors are mounted on the back panels of the rear seats, and two pairs of LATCH child seat anchors in the lower rear seat cushion area help ease installation of compatible aftermarket child seats.

Child Protection Door

The rear doors cannot be opened from the inside when the child protection rear door locks are engaged, helping keep children from exiting the vehicle without proper supervision. The doors can still be opened from the outside, if unlocked.

BELTALERT®

Enhanced seat belt reminder system, reminding the driver to wear his or her seat belt. The driver is allowed ten seconds to buckle up after the ignition is switched on. The warning sequence repeats 12 times, and the lamp remains on if the seat belt remains unbuckled.

Anti-Lock Brakes

Front disc/rear drum brakes with ABS, standard on front wheel drive Sport and North Edition, and four wheel disc brakes standard on all Limited and four-wheel-drive Sport and North Edition include anti-lock (ABS) to help the driver maintain steering control during emergency braking.

Advanced Multistage Air Bags

Inflate with a force appropriate to the severity of the impact, helping ensure occupant safety by moderating air bag inflation in the event of an impact, based on weight.
