Liftgate

Hill Start Assist

Hill Start Assist (HSA) is new and standard, too. Working to help Liberty reach the highest heights, HSA will momentarily hold brake pressure as you climb, fighting vehicle roll back and eliminating the need for two-footed driving in many off-road situations.

Hill Descent Control

Hill Descent Control (HDC) assists when Liberty comes down the mountain. Active in 4LO when the HDC button is depressed, it mimics the mighty Rubicon Wrangler's 4LO crawl ratio using automatic braking allowing the driver to smoothly descend hills in a slow and controlled manner.

UConnect GPS

Spacious Interior

The Jeep® Liberty has cargo capacity of 892L (31.5 cu.ft) with the rear seat up and expands to 1818L (64.2 cu.ft) with Liberty's 60/40-split folding rear seats folded flat. Properly secure all cargo.

Available on all Liberty models is a Premium Sound Group that includes an AM/FM stereo with six-disc DVD/CD/MP3/WMA changer and auxiliary jack.

Power Outlet

Standard on North Edition and Limited is a 115-volt AC inverter outlet located at the rear of the centre console that provides 150-watt output for powering up laptops, gameboxes and other small electronic devices.

Power Mirrors and Windows

Standard on every Liberty are power, foldaway exterior mirrors and power windows with driver's one-touch automatic down. Limited adds as standard heated exterior mirrors with driver's side memory for two drivers and power driver's one-touch auto up and down and front passenger one-touch auto down.

Plug In And Play

The standard auxiliary jack comes along for the ride when you option the AM/FM six-disc CD/MP3 player, allowing you to plug in and play portable music devices.

Selec-Trac IITM

When in 4WD AUTO mode, the always-active 4WD transfer case provides continuous, optimum traction that effortlessly conquers rocks, snow, ice, mud and anything in between. When traction loss tries to rear its nasty head, Selec-Trac II identifies the situation and immediately sends torque to the wheels with the most grip.

Command-Trac IITM

Standard on Liberty is the new Command-Trac IITM part-time 4WD system. The system now uses an electronic console-mounted switch for smoother and quieter operation. The part-time system still has the traditional 2WD High, 4WD lock, and 4WD LOW operation modes, as well as shift-on-the-fly capability.

3.7L V6 Engine

The standard 3.7L V6 engine produces a robust 210 hp and 235 lb-ft of torque at 4000 rpm, with a generous dose of power at the engine's low-end that provides more pull when the going gets tough. Engine is paired with a standard four-speed.
