Trailer Sway Control

Trailer Sway Control activates stabilizing effects by using brake pressure on alternating wheels to help stabilize the vehicle's path and, if necessary, adjusts the electronic throttle to help bring the vehicle and trailer under control.

The Electronic Stability Program (ESP™) yaw sensor recognizes when there are alternating forces on the vehicle that aren't caused by steering input, reducing trailer sway and providing improved trailer stability.

The sway could be caused by strong wind gusts or an improperly loaded trailer.

Tire Pressure Monitoring

The Tire Pressure Monitoring System monitors individual tire pressures for all four tires on the ground and warns is pressure is higher or lower than preset ranges.

A warning system with warning lamp, and a display system with real-time display of the status of all four tires within the Electronic Vehicle Information Centre (EVIC), offer added peace of mind, as well as better fuel economy, improved handling and a more comfortable ride due to properly inflated tires.

Both systems include a self-training feature that automatically reprograms the system if the tires are rotated or a spare is used.

SmartBeam™ Headlamps

SmartBeam™ provides automatic variable high-beam adjustment in response to ambient light and surrounding traffic, requiring no driver interaction.

This active safety feature works to aid driver vision, delivering maximum lighting during nighttime driving.

Side-Curtain Air Bags

Side-curtain air bags are mounted in the headliner above the doors, with a crash sensor located near the bottom inside of each B-pillar, providing added occupant protection and peace of mind for outboard passengers in all three rows of seats.

The electronic roll protection feature keeps the air bags inflated longer after deployment, helping provide protection for occupants in the event of a rollover.

Restraint System

Remote Start System

Starts the engine from outside the vehicle by using the Remote Key-less Entry key fob.

Features a targeted range of approximately 91 metres (300 feet).

Operates when the vehicle is locked and the transmission is in Park.

Upon starting, the vehicle remains in Remote Start mode for 15 minutes, after which it shuts down.

ParkView® Rear Back Up Camera

The available ParkView® rear back up camera displays a rear view video image when the vehicle is in reverse, helping the driver determine if an obstacle is in the path of the vehicle.

The system allows drivers to see things directly behind the vehicle, supplying better rearward visibility when backup up and operating in all types of lighting situations.

ParkSense™

The ParkSense™ rear park assist system uses sound waves to detect nearby obstacles in and near the rear path of the vehicle to help you manoeuvre in tight spaces at parking speeds. Audio-visual indicators in the overhead display in the rear of the vehicle alert you to the proximity of most larger, stationary objects that might be outside you line of sight.

The system uses audio-visual signals to alert the driver of the obstruction.

Multistage Air Bags

Electronic Roll Mitigation

Electronic Roll Mitigation monitors the driver's steering wheel input and the speed of the vehicle to sense the potential for wheel lift, helping reduce the likelihood of a vehicle side rollover.

The system detects when the sudden build-up of lateral force during a severe turn or evasive maneuvers can cause the vehicle to start to tip reducing the chance of a rollover in sudden maneuvers and evasive events.

ERM applies the brakes and mar reduce engine power to lessen the chance that wheel lift will occur, providing additional security and confidence by helping all four wheels remain solidly on the ground.

Child Seat Anchor System

User-ready child seat lower anchors in all rear-seating positions help ensure safe and proper installation of LATCH-compatible aftermarket child seats.
