Universal Customer Interface

Universal Customer Interface (UCI) is the system used to connect an iPod® interface to the vehicle to enable the user to control their iPod through the radio controls and the remote steering wheel switches (if equipped).

An iPod can be plugged into the vehicle's sound system to play music through the vehicle's speakers, charge /recharge the iPod (when ignition is on), display artists/music choices on the radio and pause/play when UConnect receives a call.

UConnect Phone

UConnect phone provides communication between your personal Bluetooth™ compatible cellular phone and the vehicle's on board receiver, helping the driver stay focused on driving when placing and receiving calls. Incoming voice is broadcast through the vehicle's front stereo speakers, and a microphone in the rear-view mirror picks up occupants' voice for transmission, keeping hands free for driving by using voice recognition to dial from your personal phone list.

Remote Start System

Starts the engine from outside the vehicle by using the Remote Key-less key fob. Features a targeted range of approximately 91 metres (300 feet). Operates when the vehicle is locked and the transmission is in Park. Upon starting, the vehicle remains in Remote Start mode for 15 minutes, after which it shuts down.

Rear Seat DVD

Includes a centre console-mounted DVD player and seven-inch LCD screen, battery-powered remote control, and two wireless headsets, allowing rear seat passengers to watch a movie while the driver and front passenger enjoy the audio system. The system plays video/audio DVDs, WMA, audio CDs, MP# audio discs and video CDs.

Flexible Interior

60/40-split folding rear seat provides greater cargo-carrying versatility for longer items such as skis, offering greater utility. (Standard on R/T and SXT models). The split-folding rear seat also includes an armrest and cup holders and allows part of the rear seat-back to fold down while the other remains upright for increased passenger/cargo flexibility (SXT and R/T models).

Tire Pressure Monitoring

The Tire Pressure Monitoring system includes pressure sensor modules that are integrated with the valve stems of all four road wheels. Each module sends continuous radio frequency signals to a receiver and informs occupants when the pressure is too low. The system uses an amber warning indicator in the instrument cluster.

Structural Safety Cage

Follows the safety cage architecture and load-path philosophy of Chrysler technology, helping protect occupants by managing and controlling energy in the event of an accident.

Side-Curtain Air Bags

Available front and rear-side-curtain air bags, housed in the headliner just above the side window, are designed to extend protection to both the front and rear outboard passengers. Each side air bag has its own impact sensor in order to autonomously trigger the air bag on the side where the side impact occurs.

Self-Sealing Tires

Available self-sealing tires (packaged in the Protection Group) provide added safety and convenience by sealing most punctures to allow the vehicle to continue driving without a loss of tire pressure. A non-hardening viscous sealant applied to the inner liner of each tire fills punctures up to 5 mm (0.19 inches) to minimize the loss of air pressure. Packaged with the Protection Group.

Seat Side Air Bags

Available front-seat-mounted side air bags, housed in the outboard side of each front seat, are designed to enhance protection of the driver and front outboard passenger in certain impacts. Each side air bag has its own impact sensor in order to autonomously trigger the air bag on the side where the impact occurs.

HID Headlamps

Electronic Stability Program (ESP™)

Electronic Stability Program (ESP™) is deigned to assist drivers in maintaining control of their vehicles during extremely steering man-oeuvres. ESP sense when a vehicle is starting to spin (over-steer) or plow (under-steer), and attempts to correct the vehicle's course by automatically controlling the throttle and applying the brakes at individual wheels.

Includes Brake Assist, which applies maximum braking power in emergency situations, providing the shortest possible stopping distance.

No system, no matter how sophisticated, can repeal the laws of physics or overcome careless driving actions. Performance is limited by available traction, which snow, ice and other conditions can affect. When the ESP warning lamp in the instrument cluster flashes, the driver needs to use less throttle and adapt speed and driving behavior to prevailing road conditions. Always drive carefully, consistent with conditions. Please always wear your seat belt.

Anti-Lock Brakes

Four-wheel disc anti-lock brakes are equipped with electronic sensors that prevent wheel lockup, offering improved steering control under extreme braking and/or slippery conditions. Includes heavy-cut rotors and dual-piston front calipers for optimal stopping ability.

Advanced Multistage Air Bags

The driver's side air bags is housed in the hub of the steering wheel, while the front passenger side air bag is concealed behind a door in the upper portion of the instrument panel, deploying during a severe frontal or near-front impact.
