Challenger SRT8 goes the extra mile with the Performance Pages Display showing a 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) timer, digital speedometer, braking distance and timer, quarter mile and eighth mile timers, and a G-force meter. Practically the only stat it doesn't check is your pulse. |

Tire Pressure Monitoring System
Gotta keep the shoes in tip-top shape. Tire maintenance is vital to safety and security as well as performance and fuel economy.
The standard Tire Pressure Monitoring system will display a warning indicator light in the instrument panel to alert the driver of improper pressure levels. If equipped with EVIC, individual pressure levels display digitally. |

|
Theft Deterrent
Heads turn. Mouths water. It's tempting to get a closer look, to run a hand over the glistening profile. Keep any unwanted mitts off Challenger with safety features like standard Sentry Key® engine immobilizer or the available security alarm.
Or, just use the key fob to lock or unlock your doors and trunk. |
| |
|
Structural Quality
Challenger's cutting-edge design and high-performance ride wouldn't be complete without the engineering equality to back it up. In the event of an impact, extended sill reinforcements and cross beams in the rear seat and side doors help to absorb energy, along with the manual-adjust steering column. Utilizing two hydro-formed coaxial tubes that move relative to each other, the column is allowed to move forward for enhanced energy absorption. Challenger also boasts a B-pillar that contributes to structural rigidity, as well as increased header strength that benefits rollover protection. |

|
ESP™
During extreme steering man-oeuvres the standard Electronic Stability Program (ESP™) system[3] helps maintain control by sensing when the vehicle is starting to over-or under-steer. The system automatically applies individuals brakes or controls the throttle to help you stay safely on course. When you don't want the extra hand, ESP is specially tuned for performance handling so you can switch it off, Standard on SXT, R/T and SRT8, Optional on SE.
[3] No system, no matter how sophisticated, can repeal the laws of physics or overcome careless driving actions. Performance is limited by available traction, which snow, ice and other conditions can affect. When the ESP warning lamp in the instrument cluster flashes, the driver needs to use less throttle and adapt speed and driving behaviour to prevailing road conditions. Always drive carefully, consistent with conditions. Please always wear your seat belt. |

|
Braking
Screeching halt or steady slow-down - and anything in between - Challenger's standard four-wheel disc brakes are just the ticket. Plus, the available anti-lock braking system with Brake Assist helps you maintain steering control of the vehicle and helps provide shorter braking distance in emergency braking situations (standard on SXT, R/T and SRT8).
SRT8 braking creates a performance trifecta along with acceleration and speed. Low-drag, aluminum Brembo® calipers facilitate maximum pedal feel and responsiveness, while Knock Back Mitigation detects G-forces and responds by improving brake pedal travel during spirited driving. All the while, air ducts in the front fascia help keep the system cooled. And with standard Brembo® 360X32 mm vented rotors in the front and 350X28 mm in the rear, your payoff is benchmark braking performance. |
| |
|
Air Bag Protection
Equipped with standard, advanced multistage driver and passenger front airbags[4], as well as standard side-curtain air bags, safety and security work hand in hand with Challenger's legendary performance capabilities.
[4] Always use seat belts. Children 12 and under should always be in a back seat correctly using an infant or child restraint system, or the seat belt properly positioned, dependent and the child's age and weight. |
