Stain Repelseat Fabric

Stain Repel seat fabric provides added protection to keep Caliber looking its best. Liquid spills are easily cleaned by blotting with cloth or paper towel. The treatment is integral to the fabric and is stain resistant, odour resistant and anti-static. Standard on SXT and SXT Sport PLUS.

Sound Systems

Standard AM/FM CD player with auxiliary input jack allows occupants to plug an MP3 player directly into the radio's faceplate to listen to MP3 files.

Available radio systems include an AM/FM six-disc and MP3 player and SIRIUS™ Satellite Radio, providing owner with a variety of sound systems to suit their needs.

Power Accessory Delay

Delays turning off power to accessories for 45 seconds after engine shut-off, allowing the driver to close the windows and sunroof after removing the key, while also keeping the radio turned on.

The delay ceases when a car door is opened.

Particulate and Odour Filter

Filters out small particles, and a charcoal filter reduces environmental odours like fumes and agricultural smells, helping to maintain a fresh environment inside the vehicle for a pleasant ride.

Interior Lighting

Two lamps mounted in the headliner provide illumination for the interior.

SE models feature a dome lamp in the front and cargo lamp in the rear.

Located in the front centre console, the two front passenger cup holders have rings that light when powered, providing a cool, custom look to the interior.

The rings illuminate and glow Ice Blue to match the centre stack lighting, causing water bottles to glow when placed in the illuminated cup holders.

In extensive testing procedures, Caliber's CVT2 has endured lifetime-simulation power-train cycles with no failures allowed, ensuring the durability and reliability of CVT technology.

Variable intermittent front wipers let drivers adjust the intermittent wiper interval to their desired wipe interval.

Tire Pressure Monitoring System

Included in the Driver Convenience Group, available on SXT, SXT Sport PLUS, the system alerts drivers when individual tires are improperly inflated providing added safety and contributes to good fuel economy.

"Tire Pressure Low" alert in the instrument cluster, standard on all models, alerts driver when tire pressure is less than 25 percent of the recommended pressure. The display shows tires pressures in the instrument cluster display.

Side-Curtain Air Bags

Include a set of inflated chambers adjacent to the head of each outboard occupant, front and rear, helping to protect outboard passengers in the event of a collision. Standard on all models.

Seat Belts

Three-point lap and shoulder belts for all seating positions provide protection for all occupants, and include pretension and load-limiting re-tractors.

Automatic locking re-tractors at all positions except driver remote slack in a seat belt during a severe crash. The driver's seat belt re-tractor is a modified system more suited to driver requirements in an emergency situation.

All models include LATCH lower anchors and tethers for up to two child seats, helping ease proper installation of compatible aftermarket child seats.

Remote Keyless Entry

Remote keyless entry allows the driver to unlock doors and liftgate remotely, and includes a panic alarm for peace of mind. Standard on SXT, SXT Sport and R/T.

Multistage Air Bags with OCS

Caliber's large halogen headlamps underwent computer simulation for light placement for sign illumination, down-road placement and spread.

Available front seat mounted side air bags provide additional head and thorax protection in the event of a side impact. Each air bag includes its own impact sensor and the bag is housed in the outboard side of each front seat.

Fog Lamps

These round 100-mm lamps include stone chip-resistant polycarbonate plastic lenses.

The low, wide beam illuminates the area immediately ahead of the vehicle and can be used with the parking lamps as well as the headlamps.

These high efficiency halogen bulbs provide excellent road coverage. Standard on SXT Sport PLUS.

Energy Absorbing Steering Column

Energy absorbing steering wheel and steering column with tilt feature helps reduce the potential for injury in the event of a crash.

Electronic Stability Program

Electronic Stability Program (ESP™) is bundled with Brake Assist. They help in determining whether a vehicle is responding to cornering commands and helps correct over and under steering.

Child Rear Door Locks

The rear doors cannot be opened from the inside when the child locks are engaged, helping keep children from exiting the vehicle without proper supervision.

Brake Systems

Power front disc/rear drum brakes with low-drag calipers, standard on SE, SXT and SXT Sport, reduce rolling resistance for better fuel economy.

Available power front disc/rear drum brakes with ABS offer improved steering control in extreme braking and/or slippery conditions (optional on SE, standard on SXT).

Four-wheel disc ABS, standard on SXT Sport PLUS, modulates the brakes for the driver to provide steering control while braking helping maintain directional control while braking on slippery surfaces by preventing wheel lockup.

State-of-the-art electronics for faster system response.

ABS is included with the Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT2).

BeltAlert®

An enhanced seat belt reminder system for the driver combines chimes, warning lamp flashes and warning light illumination, reminding drivers to wear their seat belt.

Available Security Group

Security Group, optional on SXT and SXT Sport PLUS, includes front seat side air bags, Electronic Stability Program (ESP™) with Brake Assist, Security alarm, engine oil cooler and trailer tow harness. A vehicle theft security alarm helps deter vandalism an theft.
